I just got home from my 4th treatment. I saw the nutritionist today. She is a very nice lady. I heard some disturbing news today. Dr. McKenna has left the practice and is no longer in the area. He had cancer before, I hope he hasn't had a recurrence. I really liked him, I hope he is well wherever he is.
Dinner at church was great last night. Roast Beef, Baked Potato, Green Beans, Roll, Salad, and chocolate pudding. There was a great class taught by Randy McCullum, but Beverly and I missed it because we were working on the Music Website. It is looking great.
I have been reading a lot. I really like positive thinking kind of books. Success Magazine is really good. Life is so much easier if you can lead it with a positive attitude. So, I read anything I can that makes me feel better. Actually, the best book and the book that most of the successful, positive books are based on is the Bible. Can any other religion claim that about their book of choice? The Bible is the ultimate positive thinking book. Just think about it: I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me!" That is really positive.
TODAY'S VERSE from HEARTLIGHT - http://www.heartlight.org/ March 19, 2009
VERSE: The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lackof judgment. -Proverbs 10:21
THOUGHT: Righteous people have a way of blessing others with their words. It may be their word of encouragement, their carefully chosen speech, their advice full of wisdom, their message of comfort, their truth in teaching, or their faithfulness to their promises. No matter what form, the words of righteous people are a blessing. But fools don't listen to the righteous. They plot their own course refusing truth, wisdom, and godliness only to find their lives lost to meaninglessness and folly.
PRAYER: Father God, Author of all truth and wisdom, please give me the ability to discern those around me who are truly righteous and the wisdom to listen to what they say. Please help me avoid the pitfalls of pride and arrogance as I humbly seek to hear your truth in those whose lives are conformed to your character. In Jesus'name I pray. Amen.
I am learning some names at radiation, nurses and patients. There is Pat, Linda, Vivian so far.
Nurses need our prayers also. It has to be a tough job dealing with so many sick people.
It is going to be a beautiful day. Get out and enjoy it. I plan to. Love to all, Barbara
