HAPPY HALLOWEEN PINK

I was going to be a Witch this year, but my Mother-in-Law wouldn't loan me her dress.

So I am a Kitty Kat again this year. Isn't that cute?

We are having salad topped with roasted chicken for dinner. It is just wonderful. Now if I can just stay away from the Halloween Candy. We don't usually have a lot of children on our street. I think they go to the housing areas where the houses are huge and the pockets are deep.

My daughter's church is having a Halloween Party tonight. She has really neat costumes for the twins but then they told her Sunday that the costumes should be Biblical Characters. Do you think of ghosts and vampires, and Superman when you think of Biblical times? Not me. I told her to just to let them wear what they already have.

Some churches think that you shouldn't celebrate Halloween (All Hallows Eve). It was originally a pagan holiday where they worshiped many gods. It is called Day of the Dead in some cultures. It is just another day in my world, but if children want to go around and collect candy in funny costumes, why not?

I think Jesus would want our children to have fun and Halloween is fun for them.

I heard someone say that Halloween is the Devil's
birthday. Sorry, he doesn't have a birthday. He was created along with all the other angels at the beginning of time. He just happened to be a bad boy who wanted to be God. Oh, so then God threw him and his minions in the the bottomless pit of fire called Hell.

So, enjoy your costumes, your candy, and your friends. Halloween is just another day!

Good News - Bad News - Join me for MMEL

  • Good News! I found out what was causing my dizzy spells and hot flashes.
  • Bad News! I have a high blood sugar and am pre-diabetic. Go figure.

I was watching Dr. Oz today and decided that I am going  to check out his new diet. It is supposed to increase muscle mass and lower fat around the internal organs.

There is some resistance training and I think that will be really good for me. I told Ray the other day that between the Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia, I have very little strength. I feel like one good cold would take me down permanently. I have even gotten to the point that I don't want to leave the house.

All of this is making me depressed and the only way I know out of it is to make a change. The change will to: Move More, Eat Less. I still believe in calorie counting. The one time that I lost the most weight and kept it off the longest was when I was a member of Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS). I lost 30 lbs in three months and kept it off for over two years.

So, while I get my act together, gather the information and start some exercising, if there is any one who would like to share in this experience with me, leave me a comment.

I have another blog that we can use to keep up with everything. You wouldn't have to use your real name if you didn't want to. We could discuss it all and see how we can get it going. How would you like to create a weight loss team that might possibly even become a large group that would share in whatever perks we could obtain?

Think about it and I will too. Go ahead and weigh in and measure yourself, and keep a calorie count of the food that you eat, or carbohydrate count, whichever you choose. You can email me at barbarapduke@yahoo.com with MMEL (Move More, Eat Less) in the subject line or I will send you a DM on Twitter with my phone number.

I hope you have a wonderful week and feel great!
