I was going to be a Witch this year, but my Mother-in-Law wouldn't loan me her dress.
So I am a Kitty Kat again this year. Isn't that cute?
We are having salad topped with roasted chicken for dinner. It is just wonderful. Now if I can just stay away from the Halloween Candy. We don't usually have a lot of children on our street. I think they go to the housing areas where the houses are huge and the pockets are deep.
My daughter's church is having a Halloween Party tonight. She has really neat costumes for the twins but then they told her Sunday that the costumes should be Biblical Characters. Do you think of ghosts and vampires, and Superman when you think of Biblical times? Not me. I told her to just to let them wear what they already have.
Some churches think that you shouldn't celebrate Halloween (All Hallows Eve). It was originally a pagan holiday where they worshiped many gods. It is called Day of the Dead in some cultures. It is just another day in my world, but if children want to go around and collect candy in funny costumes, why not?
I think Jesus would want our children to have fun and Halloween is fun for them.
I heard someone say that Halloween is the Devil's
birthday. Sorry, he doesn't have a birthday. He was created along with all the other angels at the beginning of time. He just happened to be a bad boy who wanted to be God. Oh, so then God threw him and his minions in the the bottomless pit of fire called Hell.
So, enjoy your costumes, your candy, and your friends. Halloween is just another day!
GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME!
ALL THE TIME, GOD IS GOOD!
